Mother's Day celebrated at school

Posted: 19th March 2018

Mums and grans went back to school to enjoy Mother’s Day with their children.

Magna Carta Primary Academy welcomed in female relatives to spend time in class looking at Reception and Year 1’s work.

Sophia Tanner, receptionist, said: “Mothers and grandmothers came in and sat in the hall with Year 1 as the children read them their poems and gave out decorated cupcakes.

“The Reception pupils demonstrated their dance skills to their families and showed off their paintings in the classroom.

“It was a lovely way to showcase pupils’ hard work by sharing their poems and paintings with their lovely mummies and grannies.”
