End of Reception

Phonics Screening Check
Pupils in Year 1 take a phonics screening check in June. Since the assessment began, the threshold for meeting the expected standard, has been 32/40. Pupils are asked to decode and blend 40 words including pseudo-words. Any pupils who do not meet the threshold in Year 1, are assessed again in the June of Year 2. Data since opening is:
